Danica finished her Championship on Sunday, January 22, 2012 with Rod at the end of the leash. She went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Opposite Sex to Garrison’s Best of Breed win to finish with 2 majors and 15 points on the nose. She is Vanleighof Kennel’s 53rd Champion of Record and makes her breeder Sheila Hoffman extremely proud.  Her sire’s breeder Judith Abramsohn said, “Congrats.  Thanks for liking and doing well with a Josh daughter.  I hope she fulfills your hopes for her in your breeding program.”  

In 2011, Danica won her Open Bitch class at the National Specialty and went Reserve Winners Bitch - a total entry of 57 class bitches. 

Danica won her first Best of Breed under judge Bill Shelton at the Kachina Kennel Club show in Arizona in early April 2012 and then went on to win an Award of Merit at the 2012 Southern California Bouvier des Flandres Club regional specialty under judge Clay Coady.

She successfully welcomed 3 baby boys into the world on February 20, 2014, gave us 4 beautiful babies (2 boys and 2 girls) on Halloween - October 31, 2015, and surprised us all by free-whelping 5 boys and 4 girls on May 11, 2016. Danica was an amazing mother and brood bitch and we are very fortunate to have her offspring and grand-offspring.

We lost  our Grande Dame swiftly and our entire household had to adjust to no longer having her rule the roost. We miss having to step around her when brushing our teeth at night and having her remind us that we were late for serving meals.

Five months after completing her Championship and with Pilar at the end of the leash, Danica earned her last two single points required for her Grand Championship by going Best Opposite Sex to her half brother Zak at the Simi Valley Kennel Club dog show in Santa Barbara on August 24, 2012.
