Enjoying “retirement” from the shows as much as a dog that loved showing can, we were proud to announce that, as of June 30, 2012, Garrison was one of the final Top 20 Bouviers for the 2011-2012 competition.  Although he did not participate in the evening gala in  October 2012 at the ABdFC National Specialty, it was an honor to have his wins recognized in such a prestigious manner.  As of December 31, 2015, Garrison was the #2 Stud Dog of the Year. He sired 8 titling offspring - 7 Champions and 1 Grand Champion. He eventually earned his Registry of Merit with 10 Championed get.

Before retiring full-time from the show ring in July 2012, Garrison had many nice Best of Breed wins in the spring and summer of 2012 preceding his retirement - Apple Valley Kennel Club (5/12) and both days at the Pasadena Kennel Club (6/2 & 6/3) dog shows. He also won a Group 3 at the Pasadena Kennel Club under judge Garry Newton.

In February 2012, with Pilar handling, Garrison won the only Award of Merit under judge Joy Brewster at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York City!

Having experienced a bizarre injury called a "fibro-cartilaginous emoblism" in June of 2014, Garrison learned to not only walk again, but he has been able to re-gain his ability to sleep in tubs, jump into cars, and perform a modified version of the Bouvier Bounce.  Garrison, as a stud dog, is a major contribution to the breed and our breeding program. We said our goodbyes on December 20, 2021 after his granddaughter represented so well at the AKC National Championship. He was 14 years, 9 months, 4 days old. We miss him terribly, but are thankful for his lasting legacy and impact on La Chanson Bouviers.
