Our dogs are house dogs, not kennel dogs. We keep our numbers to a manageable amount so that we can devote as much time as possible so that each dog is a great example of their breed whether in the show ring, herding livestock, going after vermin (Scotties), or walking  around an outdoor shopping center.

We love getting pictures and stories from puppy buyers. It is very rewarding watching the four-legged critters we bring into the world grow and get lots of love from their people.

If you are interested in a possible future puppy, due to COVID-19 we have received an enormous increase in inquiries and don't have a lot of time to respond to every one. We do keep track of who contacts us and make notes of who we think might be a good home for one of our puppies, but when we do not have puppies, we have stopped maintaining a waiting list. When we DO have puppies, it takes a lot of time to re-contact people to then find out they went and got a puppy from the first available provider. Puppies from responsible breeders are not available as if an Amazon purchase. They certainly don't show up in 2 days with Prime Shipping along with a crate, water crocks, toys, food, etc. Any breeder that always has puppies available that suits your own timing and needs should probably NOT be your first choice.

We can never guarantee the number of puppies in a litter, nor can we guarantee boys or girls. We do not breed for color (note: please don't ask us for a fawn Bouvier - if we end up with a fawn in a litter, we care about conformation and temperament first and foremost).  We last welcomed a litter of 8 out of Sage on December 4, 2020. We attempted breedings in 2021 and 2022 and none took. We ARE expecting puppies out of Tipper due at the end of June 2023. If you would like to be considered for one of our puppies, please send us a message with as much information as you can provide about what you're looking for in your next dog, your experience with the breed (if any), a good contact phone number via our "Contact Us" page and let us know more about you. If we don't get back to you right away, we're busy with managing our household of dogs and work!

Puppies

Puppies. Who doesn’t love puppies? We do! We try to plan for one litter a year.  Sometimes that doesn’t work and we have no litters or we may have two or three litters. Why?  Sometimes a breeding doesn’t take. Sometimes we have more than one bitch we need to breed for health or age purposes. We put a lot of thought into breedings and plan ahead, most often years in advance. We do NOT breed dogs as a business. This is a hobby and we work full time jobs, but we take our preservation breeding very seriously to make the best decisions for the breed long-term.

Bouviers are a wonderful breed if you understand them and are devoted to them, but they are NOT an easy breed and they are NOT a breed for most first-time dog owners.  We interview all potential homes and happily offer to work with our puppy buyers for the lifetime of their dogs.

Also, we have two breeding programs to maintain - La Chanson Bouviers and Bravo Scottish Terriers.
